YIA and PAR papers

YIA and PAR paper submission has now closed, and no further submissions can be made for CinC 2010.

If you submitted a YIA or PAR paper to CinC 2010, you will receive a decision following the meetings of the YIA and abstract review committees at the end of May. No revisions of submitted papers may be made while they are under review during May. Authors of accepted papers may revise them, if they wish, between 1 June and 19 September. (YIA finalists, however, should keep in mind paragraph 4.3 on the YIA page.)

If you missed the deadline, please consider submitting your YIA or PAR paper to CinC 2011. The remainder of this page contains general information about preparing YIA and PAR papers for CinC.

This page contains important information for candidates for the Rosanna Degani Young Investigator Award (YIA), as well as for other authors submitting early papers for pre-acceptance review (PAR). The same rules, including the 1 May deadline, apply to both groups.

Both a full paper for pre-acceptance review and a separate conference program abstract are requirements for the YIA competition or for reduced-fee registration. Both the paper and the separate abstract are due 1 May.

YIA and PAR papers must be submitted as PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) files in correct CinC style. They may be revised at any time until you mark them as "ready for review", or until the submission deadline, whichever comes first. If your YIA or PAR paper is accepted, you have a further opportunity to revise it between 1 June and the date when final papers are due (usually one week before the conference begins).

Follow the instructions for preparing and submitting full papers, keeping in mind that the deadline for YIA and PAR papers is 1 May.

Papers that are not presented by their authors at a CinC meeting are not published in any case. It is essential that CinC attendees have an opportunity to discuss your work with you. If you know that it will be impossible for you or a coauthor to present your work at CinC, please find another suitable meeting or journal for publishing it.
